Anyone operating a PSC db on a Mac server?

OpenEdge RDBMS is available for Windows and Linux. Some older releases were also available on other platforms, e.g. AIX, Solaris, HP-UX, Linux PPC. There has never been a MacOS port.

I happen to know that OpenEdge runs nicely in a Docker container on MacOS. But, as Rob says, there is no native port.

Docker is, essentially, zero overhead.

I'm sure containers would require more indepth study. At this point I'm gonna say prolly not gonna happen. LOL. I did briefly look at Dockers. Had I pursued this 10 yrs ago or so - maybe - but its not for me now. Too much time required. Golf and Grandson passion, ya know?

If you have an RDBMS license, you can download the RDBMS container from ESD. It's not hard to get started.
