A normal user runs a SQL query with a tool like Squirrel and noticed that a function needs longer than expected. (a bad written function can result in a full table scan!) Pressing "Cancel" has no effect because OpenEdge still doesn't not support this simple function. Problem: The user has no chance to cancel the request with OpenEdge! The only workaround is to set a general timeout before(!) but this is not really user friendly or the DBA needs to find the connection and disconnect the SQL user.
