OE 10 and 11 on Windows Servers. We are working on a consolidation project. We are helping a parent company consolidate their systems into a single corporate server instead of several plant level deployments. There are applications that run C/S that will move to a Citrix farm. There are also local character client applications that run on mobile scanning devices using TELNET/SSH. These connect to a TELNET server that runs on the Windows DB server box. The GUI clients will pickup their timezone based on the end user's settings from their machine. No issues there. I am trying to figure a way to have 50-90 total scanners connect from about 10 different locations into a single server and preserve their local time zone. I do not think I have any TZ switches to pass on the TELNET or SSH connection. I do not see an easy or obvious setting on the OE character client session to announce a TZ. I am not even sure if I can force the Windows Domain to use a TZ of my choosing. I am off to investigate that angle. In the meantime, I thought I would ask here for advise. I am open to any feedback as I could be looking at this all backwards. Changing the OS is not an option. Thanks, Bob Brennan
