Is this classic WebSpeed or PASOE? Makes a huge difference. With PASOE, you use the Spring Security Framework to generate a sealed OE ClientPrincipal. This gets stored in the HTTP Session on the server and can be accessed in either an Activate procedure, or directly in your application logic. You could also configure the URL space in Spring to restrict access based on roles, so an unauthorized user never makes it to the AppServer. Dave
