We use Ghostscript on HPUX to print PDF files that we generate - and since Ghostscript is available for AIX, it should work nicely there too. Take a look here ( http://www.perzl.org/aix/) which should lead you here ( www.oss4aix.org/.../) for the AIX RPM.
