Try starting Developer Studio (PDSOE) in Clean mode (there should be a shortcut there for it as well, otherwise add -clean to the target of the existing shortcut) Look in the .metadata folder of the workspace you are trying to start, there you'll find a .log file Read this knowledgebase article Or this knowledgebase article
