0) database licenses are for the number of /users/ (i.e. people) NOT the number of connections. 1) the workgroup database has a hardwired limit of 65 connections. this is based on the assumption that each licensed user will have up to 2 connections and there will be up to 5 batch users. 2) the enterprise database limit on the number of connections is about 32,000
