I have attempted this a couple times with version 9 databases. Not sure what version you are referring to as old. Also I attempted this probably 10+ years ago, so I'm not aware of what wizardry a new tool could possibly do. A Progress database doesn't have foreign keys and that is what the modeling tools want to use to link the related tables together. You can load the database, but there will not be any relationships. You can create them manually based off the column names.
