I think I've found it. On closer inspection the virtual-width-chars and virtual-height-chars on the window are actually LESS than the window width-chars and height-chars. I'm pretty sure that should be impossible and would be if the windows wasnt embedded. This stops my frame assignment. Clearly something has to give here. An embedded window has to have the window with and height made the same as the windowcontainer .net object. This should mean the virtual sizes have to be large enough to contain the current frame no matter what. We should have non control over these values on the window when embedded and hence I would have expected the virtual sizes to be made as small as possible based on the current content of the window. -Darren
