[Progress Communities] [Progress OpenEdge ABL] Forum Post: Licence Exception when instantiating an Appserver

Hello, This is my first post in the community - I attended PUG Challenge last year and it was fun! This is my second year using Openedge technology so please be patient with me! I am reading the "OpenEdge® Getting Started: Installation and Configuration" document; our server is already installed and configured, but I am trying to start developing in Kendo. For this, I understand I need to have an instance of the Unified Broker, or AppServer. Correct? I configured this instance through Openedge Explorer. But when I try to start it I get this error: [18/10/03@16:18:43.128-0700] P-012070 T-Main 2 UB Basic Licence Exception: com.progress.common.licensemgr.LicenseMgr$NotLicensed: Not licensed to run this product. [18/10/03@16:18:43.128-0700] P-012070 T-Main 1 UB ----------- ERROR : Not licensed to run this product.
