I looked up and down and tried a whole bunch of recommendations but can't get Sitefinity to simply return a custom 404 page. I have tried and in the webconfig, none of which work. I have come across lots of examples showing aspx pages. Sitefinity pages are extensionless. Can someone kindly provide an up to date (Sitefinity 12) step by step for implementing custom 404s so that when a user searches for an unavailable page, the custom 404 is returned?
