- What is being requested: CfODBC text driver – write the GUESSed structure of a table to QETXT.INI on non-windows platforms - Reason for request: The DD ODBC Text driver on Windows will persist the structure of the table to the QETXT.INI file, using the instructions in the Progress DD ODBC User Guide: http://media.datadirect.com/download/docs/odbc/allodbc/#page/odbc%2Fdefining-table-structure-on-windows.html%23 However, on UNIX/Linux the driver guesses the structure, but the file is not persisted. - Possible workarounds: There is currently a manual procedure defined in the Progress DD ODBC User’s Guide: http://media.datadirect.com/download/docs/odbc/allodbc/#page/odbc%2Fdefining-table-structure-on-unix-and-linux.html%23
