We have had several occasions where a batch job has been running for a long period of time. Our only solution to kill the process is to restart the affected server which will lose all other batch jobs that are queued up behind the bad job. We would like to be able to kill only the thread that is in process to not lose batches or disconnect users if the job is on a prod server.
