Position: Progress Programmer/Analyst (Permanent Position)
Location: New York City, NOHO - NYU Area
Experience: Progress 4GL (GUI) and Webspeed

Job Description: Tremendous opportunity for the right person to create
and design cutting edge software. The position entails the following
responsibilities:

* Prototype, code, and implement software for our Electronic Commerce
package. (V9.1D and Webspeed V3.1D)
* Develop and maintain plans, outline steps and timetables for
developing programs.
* Design and code screen layouts, graphical user interfaces, printed
outputs, and interfaces with other systems.
* Convert designs and specifications into computer programs.
* Compile code into programs and correct errors detected in compile
process.
* Create test transactions and run tests to find errors and confirm
that programs meet specifications.
* Work with Q.A. Team to analyze code to find causes of errors and
revise programs as necessary.
* Occasionally consult with clients to prototype, refine, test, and
debug programs to meet needs.
* Provide technical assistance by responding to inquiries from
others regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs.
* Travel (None to Minimal).

Requirements:

* At least 2 years of 4gl GUI experience and one year of Webspeed
experience.
* Javascript is a plus.
* E.D.I. is a plus.
