Permanent opportunity for an experienced Progress Programmer/Analyst
to support and develop progress applications and reporting systems
for our NxTrend SX.e ERP system.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE
* Analysis, Design, Specification, Development and Testing of
Progress 4GL code to defined deadlines and exacting standards.
* Administration and development using Microsoft SQL 2000 based
financial application and support/enhance/troubleshoot the
importing, extracting, and processing of the related business data.
* Produce and design functional specifications as needed for
technical documentation.
* Analysis, Design, and Development experience using Progress webspeed.
* Provide support and assistance to other departments as required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
* 4 Year degree in Computer Programming or related field of study.
* 5 years experience in Progress programming, systems analysis
and design.
* 2 years administration and development experience with
Microsoft SQL 2000.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Progress 4GL programming knowledge is required. Previous development in a
UNIX environment is required. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server
administration and programming is essential. Experience with NxTrend SX.e
and Progress webspeed a plus. Financial programming background a plus.
ORGANIZATIONAL SKILLS
High level of organization, strong attention to detail and ability to
coordinate projects to completion. Must have ability to consistently meet
deadlines, demonstrate strong follow through, and to follow departmental
and company procedures.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence, and memos.
Strong verbal/written skills. Good punctuation, spelling, grammar and
attention to detail a must. Good interpersonal skills essential.
