First point is that, unless the supplier supplies a materially different component, you should not do this as it breaks the concept behind MRP. This is not a technical, but a philosophical issue.
If you feel you must....
There is a supplier field in the Item Master. There is no simple way of automatically creating the item however you may wish to create a custom browse/lookup to be used in 1.4.1 which encodes this rules. I've seen this done before. You will then need to use supplier schedules to automatically generate demand.
