probkup

As of my installation on Windows there is no probkup.exe!

Also mentioning the Version of Progress/OpenEdge and what OS you're talking about would not hurt.

form the manual startup using proenv for example:

probkup [ online ] db-name [ incremental ] device-name
[ enableai [-aiencryption enable | disable ]]
[ enableaiarchiver -aiarcdir dirlist
[-aiarcinterval n] [-aiarcdircreate]]
[ -estimate | -vs n | -bf n | -verbose | -scan
| -io i | -com | -red i| -norecover
] ...

Casper.

ehm well I dont think I can get much clearer.. the command line you have to use is what I have posted. If you have no clue what it means then you should not work with a database.

But anyways to continue explaining what you have to, first begin by stating your progress version and OS the database is on (LikeRHD already asked you to do).

Casper.

go to where the database is in proenv e.g. C:\database then do a probkup <database name> <backup filename>

Stuff in the brackets being stuff you need to put it

Same OP who has posted a number of similar queries recently.

So the message is basically the same as others have posted - have a look at the documentation and the manuals and learn properly.
