Printing via Citrix

Hi,

We are using Syteline 4.01 via Citrix Metaframe.

Syteline lets you access printer setup at print time so we should be able to
change to landscape mode but this has no effect - the reports are printed in
portrait regardless.

The report stream is "clean" - no embedded printer commands.

I copied the database to my own C: drive and accessed it directly without
Citrix - then the landscape printing worked.

Is there anything in the Citrix setup?

We set up printer defaults with the "Start String" value of:

~E&l1O ~E(10U~E(s0p16h0s0b4099T ~E&l8D ~E&l2A

For those reports that must print portrait, we create a printer default by
user and process id that excludes this string.

Each of our Metaframe servers have each network printer defined as an NT
shared resource. The user utilize the Edit/Printer setup to select the
NT-based printer. Metaframe allows mapped printers from the clients to be
used, but that doesn't work 100%, so we discourage use (and, I believe,
causes unnecessary network traffic)

My SysAdmin folks keeping changing queues, drivers, locations, etc on my
printers, so I have any special formatting like landscape, compressed, and
so on filter through prtpost with the correct settings then just pipe it
through lpr to the printer.
