Well hopefully I'm in the right place, as everything I've been finding so far has helped me out.
I'm having a problem with a Red Hat Enterprise 3 system running Progress 9.1d. From time to time, usually after an online or offline backup, printing seems to 'hang up'. After a bunch of head banging, we've managed to determine that if we stop and start the database(s), that this seems to release whatever is holding them up, and printing works great for a while afterwards.
This leads me to believe that it has something to do with locks - file/record/user/whatever. However, I'm not immediately certain what to look for or where.
I'm more than happy to spit out any other useful information, but rather than just fill up a page here with useless information, I'll wait until someone has some advice and particular questions, and hopefully I can make something come of it.
