Planning an upgrade

Hi there.

I've just started with a company and one of the things I have to do is plan a migration from 9.1C to 10.2A. We'll also be changing platforms from SCO-Unix to a Linux brand.

Using tabanalyse:

Schema, average of 163 bytes/record, 8k blocks, I figure there would be 32 recs/blk in the new db. I believe with the schema. it is best to have a clustersize of 1?

Data, 76 bytes/record, 64 recs/blk. Clustersize of 512.

I want to be able to maximise storage area/blocksize etc. so I was wondering if there was some sort of checklist that would help me calculate what the optimums would be. The db's are pretty small (max is just over 1GB).

Thanks,

Les

P.S. And the rationale behind each calculation, if possible :)
