Description:
We need a Programmer Analyst to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain new software applications in support of the achievement of our client's business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.
Responsibilities:
* Programming in Progress on large projects.
* Upgrade current QAD Mfg/Pro package.
* Work on Web based applications and in other areas as required.
* Manage and/or provide guidance to junior team members.
* Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of
interdisciplinary teams.
* Hands-on experience developing test cases and test plans.
Position Requirements
* College diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
* Proficiency in a variety of programming languages
* Extensive relational database and operating systems experience with Progress
(Peoplesoft would be a plus)
* Thorough understanding of platforms such as UNIX / NT.
* Flexible and adaptable in regards to learning and understanding new technologies.
* Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Highly self motivated and directed.
* Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative
environment.
