Northwest Pump and Equipment Co., a distributor of petroleum,
industrial, and environmental equipment, has an immediate opening for an
experienced Network Administrator. This position will be part of the IT
team in our Corporate Office located in Portland, Oregon, supporting 220
employees in 11 offices throughout the western U.S. Candidates must be
experienced with the following: Windows domains, in particular Active
Directory, Windows server applications (Exchange 2000 or later, IIS 4 or
later, SQL 7 or later), Windows desktop applications (Office 2000 or
later) and operating systems (Windows 2000 or later), SQL queries,
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP & SMTP, Windows Terminal Services, firewalls and
security.
We seek someone additionally skilled in: configuring, administering, &
troubleshooting hardware (including routers, switches, voice
communications platforms (VoIP), PCs, and servers), Unix/Linux OS, and
web development using FrontPage and/or Dreamweaver.
The ideal candidate will also have experience with one or more of the
following: frame relay, IP VPN, NxTrend ERP software (Trend/SXe/SXi),
Progress RDBMS admin, Crystal Reports, IBM pSeries (RS/6000) hardware,
AIX administration, patch management, drive imaging, Veritas BackupExec
backup & restore, HTML and ASP VB scripting.
Minimum qualifications: candidate must have a minimum of 5 years
relevant experience, or an Associates Degree in Information Systems or
related field with 3 years experience or Bachelors degree with 2 years
experience. The successful candidate will be detail oriented and
passionate about IT.
