Has anyone successfully incorporated the PDF417 barcodes using PDFInclude?

If so, any guidance/how-to/where to look it up would be much appreciated.

i am finishing adding support for about 100 1d and 2d barcodes including pdf417 (as well as truncated and micropdf417) in docxfactory.

it will be out in 2 weeks including documentation. i'll post here as soon as it's ready.

currently docxfactory supports only the major 1d barcodes.

you're welcome to look at the tutorial and download the binaries for free at docxfactory.com

I still need to finish the documentation before I'll upload the new version (hopefully next week)

but here's a sample I created with a few barcodes.

You don't need to do anything. You don't need to install or run anything. You don't need to calculate check digits etc.

Just enter the barcode name in the template (plus any other options) and set the field value in your program.

I'll also add an example in the documentation howto create label sheets (e.g. sticker sheets, business cards etc.)

Our client chose not to use this, so we did not pursue it further.

Essentially, you have 2 choices:

1) Don't use PDF Include and instead use docxfactory (at oehive.org) to generate the PDF and the barcode

or

2) Google for one of the barcode generators that produce PDF417 as an image and then add the image to your PDF.
