Password Protect csv files

Hi,
Is there any option to password protect the csv files that are generated? Basically, we email the generated csv or rpt files to customers and I want to know, if there is any way to protect the attachment with a password that the recipient knows.

Check out this open source project:

There are simpler methods than this that I would not necessarily trust. As well as more complex methods that would be overkill for any commercial use.

Zip the file and password-protect the zipfile.
