OpenEdge 10.1b Lock Table Full

We are just upgrading from Progress 9.1D to 10.1b. We retreive records via odbc. The 9.1D version of our database has been started with -L 128000. We are starting the 10.1b database with -L 256000. However, we are unable to use SQL to download records from the tables. We are receiving the following errors:

ERROR [HY000] [DataDirect][ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol driver][OPENEDGE]Lock table is full. (7870)

[DataDirect][ODBC Progress OpenEdge Wire Protocol driver][OPENEDGE]Failure getting schema read lock. (12138)

Do any of you know how to resolve these issues?

If you are just reading, why is the lock table involved at all. What transaction type are you using?

Use the locksettings in your DSN settings (odbc driver settings).
Use READ_UNCOMMITTED to ensure you wil use no locks.
