I know this is off topic but I desparately need help with this and I hope someone out there can oblige.
I have produced a file via Progress v9.1d3 (chui) which I need to pick up in Word to do something further with.
The file is located on our Unix box.
I have previously written a macro in excel to access the unix box as an ftp location which works perfectly, if you have not logged on to the unix box during the excel 'session' it prompts for password and connects with no problem thus making files available.
If I put the same macro into Word it simply complains that the "filename or path is invalid".
Does anyone out there know of a way I can make word behave the same way as excel (is there an obscure security setting somewhere that I've missed or something?).
