OE Architect development with server-based source files

Does anyone know if there is a way to do development in OE Architect working with files which are on a different server?

In the past our company has done Webspeed development in Webspeed Workshop with source files located on a server. One could specify a broker URL that would let you access those files. In our case Workshop was on Windows and the source code would be located on a HP-UX server.

Just use a share and mount the remote location. Use Windows sharing if the remote box is Windows or Samba if *Nix.
