ODBC for Progress 8.2a

Dear All:

We have a Progress database, which we would like to access from Microsoft Access via ODBC.

Our progress version is 8.2a executing in multitier mode.

I tried OpenLink ODBC drive (test version) without success for the moment. Could any one give me instructions on how to get and how to install a properly ODBC driver for this version ?

What is the specific problem/error being encountered using the OpenLink ODBC driver ?

Dear Hugh.

Thank you very much for your answer. I posted a message on the OpenLink

The error I get is "Unable to get server handle" (or something like that: now I don't have this computer in front of me). This is when trying to create the ODBC DSN entry.

The installation process doesn't show me any error message, so I think installation is ok.

Now I tried again and I've got this error:

SQL state: 08004
Reason: [OpenLink][ODBC]RPC: Timed out
