odbc driver

I want to ask you something about ODBC connectivity. I'd like to connect from my s/w to progress using ODBC but it's didn't work. I was tried with Delphi and it's work but i am forgotten what kind of tool that i was used.
Could you tell me what kind of tool that i should to use in my case ? And i hope you will give that programs too..trial version it's ok!
