ODBC driver for Progress V7.3E on AIX 4.3.3 and MS Visual FoxPro 6.0 on Windows 2000?

Hi everyone,

I am looking for an ODBC driver to open Progress tables
(Progress V7.3E) running on RS/6000 with AIX 4.3.3

The application on the pc to open the tables would be Visual FoxPro 6.0 running on Windows 2000.

Does anyone here know if this is possible and such a ODBC driver exists?

We use Esker Tun Plus and was informed by Esker that they do not have it for AIX 4.3.3 yet.

Is there anyone here that has a working setup on Progress 7.3E ,AIX 4.3.3 and Win2k?

Hi,

We could set up Intersolv ODBC driver many years ago.
As I know MERANT (the merged Intersolv and MicroFocus company) has the ODBC driver you need.
ODBC v3.1 was purchased separately for Progress V7.3 and 8.x. ODBC V3.1 connected via the Progress OIB/OID to interface with SQL-89. SQL-89 was the only SQL interface of the Progress RDBMS V7.3 and 8.x.

As I know the following companies made Progress driver for V7:
Esker Tun SQL
Intersolv DataDirect ODBC Version 2.5 (16 bit and 32 bit) *
Intersolv DataDirect SQLLink (In Beta as of 7/97)
OpenLink ODBC (MT)
OpenLink Lite (Small Client, and Large Client) *
SCO SQL Retriever
