New Server Configuration

We are configuring a new Progress/MFG-Pro server.
Seeking any words of wisdom about Quad vs. Six-Core Processors.

Are there any drawbacks to the Six-Core?
Any issues with Progress (10.2A) or RHEL5 or MFG-Pro in relation to this?

With such few information there's only one thing that comes to my mind:

Only the enterprise database license supports more than one CPU ( including multi-core ) - the workgroup database license does not.
