Hi,Did you ever get it installed?
If not, let me know, I have installed 9.1e on a Windows 11 machine plenty of times. A couple of tricks. Yes, not supported, yes, very old edition, but if you are needing it installed - it is possible. there is a process you have to kill to get the installation to complete. Help won't work either.
Hello,
I have a legacy inventory management application that is currently running on the following environment:
- Progress 9.1D
- Progress Database Server running on Windows 2000 Server
- 5–6 client PCs
- Clients connect to the database server via TCP/IP
- The client application currently runs in a 32-bit Windows 10 environment
- The application is a traditional Progress/ABL application
- We still have a valid Progress 9.1D license
Our preferred target would be something along the lines of:
- Windows 11 x64 clients
- A supported Windows platform for the database server not necessarily Server OS
- Migrated Progress database
- Existing ABL application with minimal changes, if possible
I would appreciate some guidance what would be the easiest way. Thank you very much.
