Description: Our client, a global Financial Services company with
offices worldwide seeks a hands-on Development Manager to be
responsible for development, enhancement and support of its suite
of Internet Applications for banking, mutual fund trading and global
custody services. The Development Manager will be responsible for
uniting and leading a geographically dispersed development team in
development, support and integration of heterogeneous internet
applications. The Development Manager will have primary responsibility
for leading the Company to a Buy vs. Build decision for the next
generation of its Internet banking applications, and will manage the
project to which delivers this application into production.

Requirements:
* 3 - 5 years experience in development of applications with
Progress Webspeed, Progress 4GL and Progress Database.
* 3 - 5 years development of SQL programs and stored procedures
with Oracle in a Unix environment. Excellent problem solving
and inter-personal communication skills.
* 8 - 10 years experience in development of Internet/intranet
applications including all phases of the SDLC.
* 5 - 6 years of technical leadership in design, development
and troubleshooting of Internet applications demonstrating
thorough knowledge of and experience with Java, HTML, XML, JSP,
Javascript, Java Beans, application servers (WebSphere or
Webspeed), and Apache HTML server in a Unix environment.
* 2 years experience in Solaris system administration, including
setup and support of load balanced and/or clustering server
configurations for high availability.
* 2 years experience with Oracle database administration in
HA environment, including data replication to DR.
* 2 years experience with and thorough knowledge of J2EE.
* 2 years experience with and through knowledge of LDAP, (Netscape
Directory Server preferred) and PKI (iPlanet Certificate Management
System preferred), including single sign-on applications, digital
certificate issuance, registration and revocation procedures.
