Manual highlight part of fill-in

I would like to manually, programmatically be able to highlight part of a character string fill-in. The same can be achieved by left-clicking on the starting position required and dragging the cursor to the right. Is there a way?

Design time

You mean the "frame / curser" that Windows uses at design time.
That is NOT available from Prowin 32 at runtime.
