It is not comparing like for like.
The fundamental common characteristic between the 2 applications is the Progress 4GL, Or ABL as it is now. The language which the application sits on has advanced, this is reflected within the different packages. Named events were not possible with the language at version 7 so U R not comparing like 4 like. The strength of the product is continuity. A FOR EACH still does the same. Whether it is a query object or an include file.
