I know this has to be a word issue but I am wondering if anyone has had the same problem. I have created a mailmerge datasource from progress. Some fields may have a trademark symbol [FONT="]™ [/FONT]embeded in or the last character of the field.
When this symbol is in the text the mailmerge bombs and asks to pick the field delimiter then the doc comes up with the merge fields <<field>> . It was also defaulting the text to Japanese but I made the default language English and that seems to have solved the problem. All other merges for the data work as long as one of the items does not have the trademark symbol.
