Item being a kit

How do I know if an item number is a kit.
Is there anything in pt_mstr that lets me know.
Also in sob_det, does QAD jut store the components that make a up a kit in this table?

Is sob_det there is one field sob_feature has a value "KIT-1".
But please can u tell me the concept of KIP.

In 1.4.1 "Configuration" field is used to identify KIT.
When the Pur/Mfg code is C (configured), enter the default configuration type. Type can be either assemble-to-order (ATO) or kit (KIT).
