Question Is Progress 10.1b Compatible With Windows 10?

Hi. I recently upgraded to Windows 10.
My Progress 10.1B, which perfectly runs on the Windows 8.1, does not work anymore.

Is there a compatibility issue? Do I need to install a newer version of Progress?

You need to be aware that OE 10 rared it's ugly head ca. 2003. It is Stone Age software. That last ever version of OE10 supported by Progress is OE10.2B - and it is not suppored on Windows 10.

You should consider to move to OpenEdge 11.

You have upgraded Windows from XP to Win 7 to Win 8 and now Win 10 but have not kept Progress up to date? That seems short sighted.

Thanks for the responses. I'm quite the one that still uses something even if it's old as long as it's working.
But I'm definitely going to upgrade my Progress.

No version of Progress is currently certified for Win10, although I believe the hope is that 11.6 will be.
That being said, most versions should work. What errors are you getting? Are you running with elevated permissions? Did you install with elevated permissions?
