How to update a field with extent

If you have have a field named rubriek, datatype x(50) extent 15, how do I update row 2 of this field?

I know how to get row 2 in a select query but now I want to know how to update and insert values into a specific row. Anyone?

Are you using PROELEMENT to look at the individual elements in the array?
