You say nothing of your Progress version, or Operating System for starters. Additionally you post in the wrong forum. I have moved it for you...

Also, what have you tried. What errors are you getting?

i used - output to COM1:.

Returns error.

Have you tried OUTPUT TO PRINTER?

In the simplest of worlds:

OUTPUT TO PRINTER.
PUT "Hello." SKIP.
OUTPUT CLOSE.

will print "Hello." to your default printer.

that wont work brother....
this is a serial printer.

It'll work if it's yo0ur default printer. Doesn't matter whether it's Parallel, Serial or USB.
