Hi there,

I would like to know if there is a patch or any other tool that would enable me to write in hebrew in my application built with Progress 9.

Thank You :)

of course you can !!! no patches needed

if the operation system code page ( ascii ) supports hebrew

in windows take a look at the control panel settings

and the progress code pages are also defined

so it will know how to work with them

e.g. sorting, which chars are alphabetic/numeric etc.

i don't know if this is something you could be looking for ...

but you can also add translations for different languages

into compiled r-code files using the translation manager

you can find everything you wanted to know about code pages

and everything else in the online documentations

look for the internationalization guide

http://www.progress.com/products/documentation/start_openedge10/index.ssp

hth ... yalla bye

We are thinking to move to Progress 9 from Progress 6(!) and we wanted to know if hebrew is supported using some sort of patch like in version 6 or supported as "built-in".
Our next problem is to know, after we move our app and db to Progress 9, how can we provide remote access to this application and database, i.e. to let people in another office have access to the app and db.
