Hi Guys,I need assistance in upgrading my client's progress 9.1D SP06 to SP09 running at compaq tru64 machine as there were a few errors occurs throughout the process. Firstly, the error occurs while i'm trying to mount the disk with following command:mount -t cdfs -o noversion [device_name] i.e. /dev/rdisk/cdrom0a. As a results of the failure,I copy the .tar file to the machine with ftp and trying to unzip in the tru64 machine with tar -xf [file_name].tar commandit failed too with error message saying no enough space for memory allocation.next,i unzipped the .tar file with winRar in Windows and copy over to the tru64 machine, and start to run the ../../proinstit failed too with error message saying could not execute the /_ovrly file, the installation terminates abnormally and prompted me to delete the file I have checked the knowledge base with the error messaged displayed, it says the file is corrupted. I'm downloading a new one from progress site, but at the mean time, i don't fully believe it was caused by corrupted file. Please look into this and spare me your helping hands soonest possible.

Service packs are very particular about being applied just as instructed.

The unzip on windows & copy to unix approach probably messed up the file permissions. is _ovrly executable?

I'd contact tech support and find out why the mount command failed. And then proceed from there. Of course if you lack the required disk space you should fix that first.

I don't know if it helps, but I had this exact error when trying to apply a 32-bit OE10.1A01 servicepack on a 64-bit install....

So ,make sure you have the correct Servicepack, and untar (is this a word?) it on the machine itself.

Regards,
Casper.
