Thanks for the explanation. That makes sense, and I appreciate that performance is being considered, as that matters to all of us. I'm actually less concerned with PDSOE than I am with the deployed environments though. As I developer I expect to have to do a little configuration in my IDE. However, as a person deploying application updates for an ISV, it would be nice if installing the latest version of OpenEdge included being able to get at the ABL objects for integrated access to Corticon without having to adjust the propath of every client and appserver that will potentially use those ABL objects. Whether we do that manually or program something to adjust the propath within our application, that is the sort of thing that will break if the code moves to a different place inside OpenEdge someday. It seems like it would be better for the ABL to handle the location of its own objects itself.
