Thanks for the update. I agree with what you have said and would prefer to properly install on the client, however, the particular application has always worked this way since before version 9 and works just fine. With regard to the Registry entries, these appear only to be path references that can just as easily be defined in the progress.ini file. I have not seen any need to register DLL's either. I was concerned that perhaps some of the temporary files might end up being shared but these all appear to be located on the client.
