cmd as admin: rebuild the counters: cd c:\windows\system32 lodctr /R cd c:\windows\sysWOW64 lodctr /R resync the counters with Windows Management Instrumentation (WMI): winmgmt /RESYNCPERF services.msc stop and restart the Performance Logs and Alerts service (if it hasn't been started, make sure it is) stop and restart the Windows Management Instrumentation service.
