Formatting in Excel

Can I import a dump file from Progress (Tab-seperated) in excel without
excel formatting the cells? I want to do the formatting myself later on the
document. My prob is that excel tries himself to look for the formating of
the cell (with the openfile statement)

One way would be to record an Excel macro where you import your CSV file,
specifying TAB as the delimiter and setting all the columns to something
like "general" or "text" in the dialog box that pops up before the import
starts. Once you've generated the file, just get Progress to run the macro.
No doubt, there'll be simpler ways but HTH anyway.
