F3 key mapping in CIM file

Hi Guys,
Can someone pls tell me how I can map "F3" key in a CIM upload file. For example F1 is blank space, F4 is ".", default value "-" etc.

I don't think there is. you'll probably endup hacking ( customizing ) the original maint program.

With that said CIM is an ancient limited technology/fix and you have to take it for what it is. Is that where Mfg/Pro eB2 still are at ?

Because I know they had huge changes done to bring it upto a service oriented architecture with business entities and data objects. In that case you woud have business logic API's in the relevant business entity to do that.

Thinking outside the box for a second. For those special cases we could write a program that reads the widgets directly and synthesize keyboard and/or mouse commands using windows API's. Sounds really practical to me ...

How about naming it SHIMMY :)
