I recently installed 10.2A and when i open a .p file in my windows system, the error #448 popsup. But i didnt configure any startup parameters yet. Any idea where can i do this for 10.2A installation. Is 'Connect -db' statement causing this? If so, where can i edit this? Appreciate your help!!

Thanks,

so you do/click the following path from you window.... Start -> OpenEdge -> Client ( to launch the .p file) and it gave error ?

When you right-mouse click on the "Client" and select the "Properties" option; what do you see in "Target" field in the "Client Properties" window? It should ideally say - C:\Progress\OpenEdge\bin\prowin32.exe and nothing else. (i have installed OE on C:\)

My client's target path is same as what you have mentioned. I face this problem only when i double click on the .p file. When i open the .p file from "File -> open" option of client, no issues there.

strange... so does it give an error even if your .p is an empty .p file without any code in it ?
