Dynamically hide columns in browse

Good morning all, or were ever you are. I have a question if anyone knows how to dynamically hide 'fields' in a browser's display statement? My current browser has a lot of columns in it, and some are not needed all the time. So I was hoping for a simple way to turn on / off that field(s) from displaying depending on a trigger in the frame. I really don't want to have to create a separate browse just for that, and it seems like a simple 'hide' type statement should work. I do have a trigger that changes the colors of a field to highlight them, and tried the same format to set VISIBLE to No, but creates an error when displaying the rows. Any thoughts? TIA -Dennis-

It's been a while, but you should be able to get the browse column with the GET-BROWSE-COLUMN() method, and once you have the handle to the column, set the VISIBLE attribute to FALSE.

I don't think you can hide individual cells (ie one column in one row).

As Peter posted if you use the GET-BROWSE-COLUMN method you can set the VISIBLE to FALSE. Simple example here:
