To your disappointment
To your disappointment, at the moment it is only CIM interface, it is not as what you think the termilogy means. They are not functions call exposed to external software. They are only old CIM / EDI interface given with a new name.
In SAP you can create or modify PO/SO/Customer/Vendor/Prod Order/etc by calling a function (BAPI). these functions are now wrapped up and exposed as web methods, so it is very easy to develop a web page which adds the information through the function calls and knows imediately whether the call are failed or successful.
In Mfg/Pro you have only things like CIM interface or EDI which are exchanged through text files. Poor IT guys has to check every day to make sure the data are transfered correctly into Mfg/Pro.
